Simcoe Watershed Art Project: Lake Effects

An art exhibit called "Lake Effects" was put on by the Simcoe Watershed Art Project through December 2011 in the Barrie City Hall rotunda.

Seventeen artists,  using a variety of media, expressed and documented the cultural diversity, beauty and fragility of lakes Simcoe and Couchiching.

At the official opening on Dec. 2, while visitors viewed the paintings, Roy Hickling sang songs he had written about water.

The next exhibit by the Simcoe Watershed Art Project is a juried show at the Orillia Museum of Art and History, May 14 to June 30.
