Celebrate the fall season with Pumpkin Fest

The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is hosting the third annual Pumpkin Fest on Saturday, October 19 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Henderson Memorial Park, located on Line 9 just west of Sideroad 10.

Pumpkin Fest is an all-ages event that includes live on-stage music, wagon rides, pumpkin carving (one per child, while supplies last) and a farmers’ market. All activities are free, including an inflatable corn maze, mini-golf and other games, as well as crafts and face painting. The main stage will feature The Cara Lea Band, along with kid-friendly entertainment and music from Team T & J and Russ Clayton, and story time with the BWG Library. Special guests include BWG Fire & Emergency Services, who will be providing public education and a visit from the fire truck.

Enjoy food for sale, including a fundraising BBQ by the Bradford Lions and a variety of offerings from local vendors Don Cherry’s Sports Grill and Hay Carumba. If you have a sweet tooth, be sure to check out JoJo’s Crepe Café and Sweet B’s Bakery. The Bradford Farmers’ Market will be extending its schedule by one week in order to bring its vendors to Henderson Memorial Park for Pumpkin Fest.

Pumpkin Fest will feature the second annual “Dri Tri: Run – Row – Rep Challenge”. This fundraiser supports the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada and includes a 1.25 km run, 1.25 km row and a combination of body weight exercises. The Dri Tri is open to anyone age 13 and up. The Challenge takes place at Pumpkin Fest, but registration must be made in advance at the Fitness Centre (upstairs at the BWG Leisure Centre) by October 5.

Whether you’re looking to go on a family outing, spend time with friends or just explore the park and meet others in the community, Pumpkin Fest is the perfect way to celebrate fall!

Parking is limited. Additional parking will be available at the Bob Fallis Sport Centre (2961 Sideroad 10) with shuttle service to the event. Non-perishable food items will be collected for the Bradford Helping Hand Food Bank.

This event is made possible thanks to our generous sponsors: New Roads Automotive Group, Oxford Learning Centre, Trisan Construction, and Xplornet.
