Meet Thumper, a four-year-old Beagle mix. He came into the care of the Ontario SPCA York Region Animal Centre in Stouffville through an animal transfer after being found as a stray.
This cute, energetic little guy enjoys going on walks. His nose is to the ground smelling anything and everything – typical of a hound breed! Thumper loves people and is great at giving hugs.
He enjoys food puzzles and is working on learning cues so he can be the best version of himself. He’s a straight-forward dog who lets you know when he’s happy; you’ll hear him singing the song of his “people” – that classic Beagle howl.
It’s difficult not to love Thumper when you see his cute little face. If you are interested in adopting Thumper, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

This Remembrance Day, join the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society as we pay tribute to Canada’s veterans and the animals who have bravely served by their side by wearing a commemorative Animals in War pin. The pin represents the sacrifice made by animals who have served, and continue to serve, alongside Canada’s veterans.
Proceeds from each sale will help provide care for animals in need, and $1 from each pin sold is donated to Royal Canadian Legion branches in our animal centre regions to support our veterans. To order your pin, visit ontariospca.ca/remember
