Our restaurant reviews have been going strong for some time now. The Lake Simcoe area has become a real mecca for foodies! Finding restaurants with a mandate for fresh food, with as many locally sourced ingredients as possible, is getting easier.

We have incredible restaurants but the full picture includes fantastic farmers' markets, u-pick farms and phenomenal bakeries from Barrie to Orillia and Georgina, and in between.

My Let's Have Dinner reviews in Lake Simcoe Living Magazine feature restaurants and food establishments that strive to use fresh ingredients in their made-from-scratch foods. A new addition to the growing food section of Lake Simcoe Living Magazine is going to be my special food features, such as an upcoming article on aboriginal foods of the Lake Simcoe area.

Also on my editorial calendar, an article on the menus of some of the finest B&B’s of Lake Simcoe and watch for my sizzling article on Firehall Foods!

We are creating a Food Events Calendar to keep up with the endless food festivals, harvest festivals, food fundraisers and demos taking place year round. We’re also going to be working on a Lake Simcoe Living Restaurant Directory so stay tuned for this!

Meet me here at this blog weekly, where I will provide added features such as chef profiles, reviews of special food events, food award galas, great food photos and periodic reviews of smaller establishments around the region.

I would love your food and restaurant recommendations and suggestions, and of course your feedback on my reviews in Lake Simcoe Living Magazine and here online. I also welcome your food photography!
