Carnegie Days 2019
September 26 to 29

Organized by the MacLaren Art Centre. In partnership with Simcoe Contemporary Dancers and the Barrie Public Library. Presented in conjunction with Culture Days.

Carnegie Days is an annual festival of art and language that draws on the origins of our building as a 1917 Carnegie public library. It celebrates the Carnegie legacy with exhibitions, public art projects, lectures, readings, video screenings, workshops and other public programmes at the gallery and in the city of Barrie that explore language in contemporary culture. Events are presented by the MacLaren and by our many community partners. Book Club, this year’s theme, focuses on book collection and sharing.
