Our nature walk for this month is on Wednesday October 23.
Our walk will take us through the Pangman Springs Conservation Area which is a 100 hectare property on the Oak Ridges Moraine. It contains a mature ecosystem including wetlands and hardwood forest. The trail has some steep sections and footing can be tricky.
Since the trail is one way we will walk the 1.2 km in and the same back out for a length of 2.4 km.
We will meet at 9:30 a.m. in the parking lot which is on the west side of Kennedy Road about 0.5 km south of St. John's Sideroad and 1.5 km north of Aurora Road.
Do not stop at the parking area for the Porritt Tract of the York Regional Forest which is just north of Aurora Road.
This walk is a rain or shine event and no sign up is necessary. We hope that you can join us for this event.
