Landscape Moments: Photographic Images by David J. Hawke

Sat. 24 Mar, 2018 6:00 am - Sun. 20 May, 2018 12:00 pm

Landscape Moments: photographic images by David J. Hawke

Exhibition Date:

Saturday, March 24, 2018 to Sunday, May 20, 2018

Through all of time our local landscapes have constantly been changing... and continue to change, annually, daily. David Hawke has had opportunity to be out of doors most of his life, and with camera in hand has recorded many facets of our natural world including vistas both dynamic and subtle.

A photograph is a recording of 1/250th of one second of the entire time passage; these images journal a moment in a place within a landscape.

These 26 images are also captured memories of David's escapes where, for a moment, the landscape became his entire world.

David Hawke, well-known naturalist and writer, returns to the Orillia Museum of Art and History with another inspiring show of his photography. Presented in the Lounge Gallery from March 24 through May 20, 2018.

David will be in attendance on March 24, April 07 and 28, as well as May 12 (1:00 to 3:00 each day) to meet with you and chat about our shared landscapes.
