A very busy summer promoting Heritage Lake Simcoe!

There are 23 municipalities in the Lake Simcoe Watershed. They are: Town of Aurora, Town of Newmarket, Town of Richmond Hill, Township of  King, Town of East Gwillimbury, Town of Georgina, Township of Whitchurch-Stouffville, Township of Uxbridge, Township of Scugog, Township of Brock, Town of Caledon, Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury, Township of New Tecumseth, Town of Innisfil, Township of Oro Medonte, Township of Ramara, City of Barrie, City of Orillia and City of Kawartha Lakes.

What did we do?

We put together two meetings, both held at Marj’s home. We invited people whom we thought would give us an honest opinion of the project. At the first  meeting, on a snowy day in January, we had our MP, MPP,  a rep from the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority, Ladies of the Lake, Lake Simcoe Coalition, Lake Simcoe Living magazine, Lake Simcoe Conservation Foundation, a member of Innisfil Council and a member of the First Nations from Georgian Island.
