Connecting Lake Simcoe's Community

Early birds and other volunteers are needed Saturday, June 20, for the 1st Annual Scanlon Creek BioBlitz.

Come and share your expertise with others in a race against the clock to identify as many species of plants and animals as possible in one day!

If you have expertise, we need you! If you just want to help out, we need you, too!

Surveys will be carried out to identify all the birds, reptiles, amphibians, insects, fish, plants and more!There will be:
•    Intense Biological Surveys, Guided Surveys and Public activities.
•    Exciting exploration and activities for everyone.
•    Refreshments, snacks and light meals provided for participants throughout the day.

Come to Scanlon Creek Conservation Area, 2450 Line 9, Bradford West Gwillimbury. Start time is 7 a.m.

PLEASE BRING: Bug spray, hiking boots, hat, long pants, sunscreen; binoculars, GPS and ID books if you have them. This event is rain or shine so be sure to dress appropriately. Participant admission is free.
