Connecting Lake Simcoe's Community

NEWMARKET, ON – May 27, 2014 – Join Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority (LSRCA) and

partners of the Maskinonge River Recovery Project as they host a Community Tree Planting on Saturday,

May 31 from 9 am to Noon. 

The planting event takes place at Belhaven Hall in Keswick (25202 Warden Avenue) and has plenty of

free family activities in addition to the tree planting itself:

‐ Learn about local environmental groups

‐ Interact with turtles and other reptiles at

risk with Scales Nature Park

‐ Enjoy food and refreshments

‐ Have your kids take part in crafts and

activities

‐ Take an environmental farm tour

The event is rain or shine so dress for the

weather and make sure to wear closed toe

shoes. We will supply the shovels.
