Lake Simcoe Conservation Foundation to Receive $100,000 RBC Blue Water Project Grant
Funding will support stormwater improvement project in local urban park
Newmarket – The Lake Simcoe Conservation Foundation is being presented with a Leadership Grant of $100,000 through the 2011 RBC Blue Water Project.
The $100,000 grant will fund phases two and three of a Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority water stewardship project that will see stormwater improvements completed in George Richardson Park in Newmarket.
The RBC Blue Water Project has identified that supporting water stewardship is critical to making a measureable and meaningful difference in our communities and is an integral part of sustaining life on our planet. RBC will support the project in George Richardson Park because it bolsters ongoing efforts to improve the health of the Lake Simcoe region watershed.
