Connecting Lake Simcoe's Community

Skate to Great is partnering with West Shore Beach Club to give Orillia-area children the chance to skate this winter. Canadian ice dancers Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier were on hand recently to kick off the partnership.

From now until Feb. 28, the West Shore Beach Club by Summerhill Homes sales office is accepting new and gently used skates and hockey equipment.
Since launching in 2012, Skate to Great has collected and distributed more than 6,000 pairs of skates to enable deserving kids and at-risk youth the opportunity to skate.
Items can be dropped off at the West Shore Beach Club sales office, north of Orillia at 9361 Hwy 11 N. at Greyshott Dr., or at the Summerhill Homes head office, 20 Wertheim Court, Suite 17, Richmond Hill.
