Barrie, ON – There is no doubt about it—Barrie’s waterfront is something special. As the City grows, the waterfront will continue to be one of its most treasured assets. That is why Council is looking for feedback this summer from both residents and visitors on the future of Barrie’s waterfront.
The City will use three surveys to generate feedback from the public. Starting this week, Oracle Poll will conduct a random phone survey of approximately 1,000 Barrie residents from all 10 City Wards. If residents receive a call, they are encouraged to take the time to provide feedback.
Residents who do not receive a call are encouraged to complete a 2-minute online survey at barrie.ca/waterfrontsurvey. Finally, to reach visitors, the City has partnered with Tourism Barrie to conduct face-to-face surveys along the waterfront on various weekends throughout the summer.
The online survey closes on August 1, and the feedback received from all surveys will be reported back to Council in a Staff Report.
